Hi. I'm downloading songs for free at this site called ESpew.com. You can download all their songs without signing up or having to use any special software; it's pretty cool by the way, and I would recommend checking it out. *smiles* Anyways, my thing is that a very few of them bring up RealPlayer to play the songs, and I want to know, is there a way to somehow reopen those files using Windows Media Player? Or how can I just save it to my CD, which is really all I'm trying to do?

hi. i have the same question as well. how can i save them? i don't mind using any player, as long as i can save it. and thanks alot for the cool site.
Well, some realaudio files, perhaps most, are stream only. That means, you can only save a link to the file, not the file itself. Yes, there are some realaudio files which can be saved to the hard drive. The reason some files are stream only are to prevent people downloading and sharing music, aka, on a peer to peer network.

Thanks. But it's weird because on this website that I go to, your supposed to be able to download the files freely. But the weird thing is that all the other files that I've been able to download easily are opened with Windows Media Player, which of course is easier to use. So with Real Player, you can only save a link to the song, and there's not a way of saving it from there to Windows Media Player or a CD? Weird. Well, I'll mention that to the people at that ESpew website.
